In a letter to the House Speaker dated January 8th, Representative Ashley Hinson (R-Iowa) states that she shockingly received unsolicited CCP propaganda to her “official office in Longworth House Office Building, courtesy of the Chinese Communist Party.”
Representative Hinson said that she “did not request China Daily, nor did [her] staff.” China Daily is a newspaper owned and operated by the Chinese Communist Party. Rep. Hinson writes that “this dangerous propaganda is owned, paid for, and written by the CCP.”
Hinson said that she is “appalled” to receive the paper at her U.S. Congressional office. She asked Pelosi to “use the control” that Speaker Pelosi wields “as Speaker of the House of Representatives to stop the CCP from distributing its state-run publication within our hallowed halls.” Rep. Hinson continued writing that “this offensive garbage should not be automatically distributed to Congressional offices at the cost of the American taxpayers.”

The representative goes on to explain that “China Daily is registered as a foreign agent under the Foreign Agents Registration Act.” Because the propaganda publication is registered as a foreign agent, it prevents the publication’s employees from having access to congressional press galleries. By directly mailing its publication to Congressional offices, it gets around the blockade.
Rep. Hinson writes that she “swore an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. The CCP is most certainly a foreign enemy of our Constitution, the rights therein, and the values our country holds dear.”

Are we to believe that Nancy Pelosi will be strong against China when she allows their propaganda to lay on the steps of the U.S. Capital? Rep. Hinson demands that Speaker Pelosi bar “the CCP’s most prolific propaganda rag be prevented from reaching [Hinson’s] office, which serves the people of Iowa’s First Congressional District and not Chinese Communist.”
Well done to those who voted for Rep. Hinson to represent you in Iowa’s First Congressional District. When pundits call for Americans to vote in fighters instead of the jello pudding we currently have, think Rep. Hinson. We need representatives that understand our enemy is not other Americans but countries like China who want us to fight each other while they strip our country of anything of worth.

Foreign countries shouldn’t have more access to shaping domestic policy than Americans. Especially not when those foreign countries interfered in our elections and promoted internal strife among Americans.
