“Tonight while I was in Missouri, Antifa scumbags came to our place in DC and threatened my wife and newborn daughter, who can’t travel. They screamed threats, vandalized, and tried to pound open our door. Let me be clear: My family and I will not be intimidated by leftwing violence.”
This was the message Sen. Hawley had for the “Antifa scumbags” that went to his DC home to protest Sen. Hawley’s plan to object to the electoral vote on January 6th. Videos of the frightening ordeal went viral yesterday. It shows domestic terrorists bringing signs onto the front lawn of his private residence, using megaphones, ringing the doorbell, and banging on the doors and windows.
His wife was the only adult home with their newborn daughter as the Senator was in his home state of Missouri. Hawley was the first Republican Senator to stand up and say that he would raise objections to certain states’ electors where allegations of fraud or mishandling of votes have been prevalent. Since Hawley’s statements supporting objections came out, around a dozen Republican Senators have joined the fight.

Sen. Hawley’s family’s safety was attacked by the group ShutDownDC. The group claims to be “an organizing space where individuals and groups can come together to organize direct action in the fight for justice.” The group claims that Sen. Josh Hawley’s objection to the electoral vote is a “baseless contestation of the 2020 Presidential election results.”
They claimed that the protest would be a candlelight vigil to deliver “a copy of the U.S. Constitution to Hawley’s door.” But it quickly turned into a typically Antifa event filled with illegal activity and bullying.

Bulls**t!
This was no candlelight vigil, this was an attempt to terrorize @HawleyMO’s family, his wife & kids, and neighbors, you made that very clear.
This is what those leftist socialist anarchists want to do to this country, tomorrow Georgia gets a chance to reject them! https://t.co/9SQxe6bHlG pic.twitter.com/MBTsBRIeSf

One of the activists/terrorists, Patrick Young, said, “We came to let Hawley know that his actions are undemocratic and unacceptable. Voters decided who they wanted to be president, and now Hawley is trying to silence their voices, even after Republican officials certified the vote counts. And let’s not forget that the bulk of the votes they would throw out come from black and brown voters. This is an attempted coup waged by silencing the voices of people of color.”

He’s wrong. The votes that need to be thrown out weren’t tabulated by black and brown people. They were voted by a computer and sometimes a single person putting the same stack through the tabulator repeatedly until the batch no longer counts as 100 but rather 100,000.
The argument that this would cancel the people’s desired outcome is all a public relations stunt. The people’s vote was canceled the moment the safeguards in place were circumvented, and the first illegal vote was cast. When they realized what they could get away with, they didn’t care about hiding it. It was extensive. It was bold. But we caught them.
The Trump campaign lawyers have video, audio, and sworn affidavits, but none of it matters if we aren’t given a venue to air our grievances. January 6th is the last chance to constitutionally right the wrong that was done. If we don’t stand up now, we never deserved the freedoms America has given us.
Sen. Hawley stands strong, saying he won’t back down to Antifa scum and patriots around the country are proud he represents us. There is nothing worse than a coward; I’m looking at you, Thomas Massie.
