The Epoch Times reports that “Texas Republicans are preparing to mount a flurry of legal challenges to push back against the incoming administration’s progressive agenda.” Biden promised to start undoing President Trump’s legacy on day one of his presidency with “a left-leaning agenda on energy, taxes, immigration, health care, and other priorities.”
The Texas economy that heavily relies on its vibrant fossil fuel industry will suffer under a Biden presidency, which plans to “rejoin the Paris Climate Accord and take far-reaching steps on climate change, including seeking to cut greenhouse gas emissions by half by 2030 and effectively ending them by around 2050.”
Biden also plans to gut Texas’ federal border protections put in place by President Trump. The report states that Biden’s “proposed” immigration reform will “create a pathway to citizenship for more than 11 million illegal immigrants.” His immigration reform is already seeing hoards of Honduras migrants flocking to the United States’ southern border to get access to Joe Biden’s socialist America.

The incoming President also “plans to roll back Trump’s corporate tax cuts and raise income tax” at a time in our country where Americans are exhausted carrying the already heavy tax burden. President Biden says his tax increases will only affect the top earners in America, but several economists note that the ultra-rich have legal ways to hide their money that the middle class can’t afford to utilize. They claim the tax burden will slip by the top earners in our country and fall on the heads of the middle class until we are taxed out of existence.
In a tweet on Saturday, Texas Gov. Gregg Abbott said that “a new crop of Texas-led lawsuits awaits Joe Biden’s White House.” He continued, “Texas will take action whenever the federal government encroaches on states’ rights, or interferes with constitutional rights, or private property rights, or the right to earn a living.”

In an interview with the San Antonio Express-News Texas Public Policy Foundation general counsel, Robert Henneke said that he expects “litigation challenging unconstitutional action from the Biden administration will be a central issue” for his organization. Henneke said that “where the new administration seeks to go out of bounds of what powers have been delegated to it, or enacts policies and rules that aren’t supported by data and science, I expect that we’ll be chief among those challenging those types of policies.”
A Pew Research Center national survey says that “a majority of Republicans (59%) want their party’s leaders to ‘stand up’ to Biden.” When the survey looked into “conservative Republicans,” the research showed that “a sizable majority of conservative Republicans (69%) favor GOP leaders standing up to Biden.”
