The women of the CBS show “The View,” predictably lost their minds over SCOTUS ruling abortion laws belong at the state level, not the federal level, effectively overturning Roe v. Wade. Host Whoopi Goldberg went so far as to suggest SCOTUS wants to reinstate slavery.
The hosts went after Justice Clarence Thomas hard for his consenting opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. Thomas was making an argument for revisiting other cases where SCOTUS has ruled based on “substantive due process.” Thomas argues that “’substantive due process’ is an oxymoron that “lack[s] any basis in the Constitution.”
In a fervor of listing everything they believe Thomas would like to see SCOTUS go after including contraception, gay marriage, and affirmative action, host Sunny Hostin goes all the way.

“Well, he [Clarence Thomas] is saying nothing is precedent anymore,” Hostin said.
Golberg immediately chimes in, “We are not in the Constitution either. We were not even people in the Constitution.” Of course this is absurd as the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments of the Constitution abolish slavery and specifically give African Americans citizenship and the right to vote.

The rant sunk to an all new level of absurdity when Goldberg actually suggests they want to move back to slavery.
“Well, you better hope that they don’t come for you, Clarence and say you should not be married to your wife who happens to be white,” Goldberg said. “Because they won’t move back. And you better hope that nobody says you know, well, you’re not in the Constitution, you’re back to being a quarter of a person.”

The left has really gone off the deep end with the overturning of Roe v. Wade. Social media has been loaded with hyperbole that makes the brain of the rational hurt. Here are some of the more notable:
“Neutering the one male will prevent more unwanted pregnancies than spaying any female. The same goes for cats and dogs.”
“Happy Father’s Day to all the soon to be dads in the red states who don’t want kids. You think gas prices are high, wait ’til 18 yrs of child support kick in over a one night stand.”
“Brainstorming how to turn my vagina into a gun so I’ll have more rights.”

Abortion was not made illegal. The vast majority of states allow for abortion, they just limit the amount of time in which women may terminate the pregnancy as opposed to up until the point of birth. The small handful of states that are making abortion illegal will likely not stand long term. In the meantime, there are no restrictions on going to a state where it is legal. In fact, there are plenty of businesses offering to pay for their employees to travel to get an abortion.
It is time for the left to stop their incendiary rhetoric and start being productive. If you don’t like the law of your state, move or work to elect people who agree with you. Work to provide support rather than riot and destroy. Stop vandalizing and burning pregnancy resource centers. Get a grip!
