Less than 24 hours after a rare anti-Muslim attack in London that the disingenuous liberal media subsequently linked to an alleged rise in Islamophobia, yet another radical Islamic terrorist attack occurred in Paris.
As reported Monday afternoon by The Washington Post, a car driven by an attacker “previously known to French authorities” rammed into a police cruiser, causing an explosion that killed the perpetrator but nobody else.
“Once again, French security forces were targeted with this attempted attack on the Champs-Elysees,” French Interior Minister Gerard Collomb told reporters at the scene, adding that “a number of weapons, explosives to blow up this car” were found.

The Chicago Tribune provides more coverage:
On Monday, police cordoned off a broad swath of the Champs-Elysees after the latest incident, warning people to avoid the area.

Interior Ministry spokesman Pierre-Henry Brandet said the incident was apparently deliberate.
Police “pulled an individual out of the vehicle who had struck the car in front (of the convoy, “ Brandet told reporters. “Large numbers of police converged on the scene, firefighters to extinguish the fire.”
A man could be seen lying on his stomach on the ground immediately after the incident, wearing a white shirt and dark shorts.
Hours later, access to the avenue remained blocked, while bomb squads combed the area.
Though unfortunate, what occurred Monday is not a surprise. We know for a fact that radical Islam exists and is on the rise around the world.

Moreover, despite what the media claims, and despite the attack Sunday in London in which a deranged man rammed his vehicle into a crowd of Muslims while shouting “I want to kill all Muslims,” there is not a widespread reverse movement against Muslims.
As noted by Ben Shapiro of The Daily Wire, “[M]ajor attacks on Muslims by anti-Muslim terrorists are far less common than major radical Muslim attacks on non-Muslims across Europe — and they are supported by no major terrorist group, let alone state actors.”

Thus, the attack in London marked a rarity, whereas what happened the day after in Paris was, to be blunt, a commonplace occurrence, as disturbing as that sounds.
To be clear, both attacks were wrong and inexcusable. However, whereas one was a rarity that’s not apt to be repeated, the other — the attack in Paris, which mirrored a litany of other similar attacks that have occurred across Europe this year — is likely to happen again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again.
